The IIM Bodhgaya internship experience at Glad Bharat Foundation goes far beyond academic learning—it is a journey of learning, unlearning, and discovering real social impact at the grassroots.
Some journeys don’t just add to your resume—they reshape how you see the world. Hosting interns from IIM Bodhgaya at Glad Bharat Foundation has been one such experience—deeply human, reflective, and quietly transformative.

What stood out wasn’t just their academic strength, but their willingness to unlearn. They arrived with frameworks and strategies, but soon discovered that grassroots realities demand empathy as much as intellect. In village classrooms and community spaces, they learned that solutions are not imposed—they are co-created.

Together, we worked across two critical areas: foundational education and menstrual dignity. From supporting early-grade learning activities to engaging with adolescent girls and women on menstrual awareness, the interns stepped beyond observation into action. They listened to stories, understood lived challenges, and reimagined solutions with humility.

One of the most powerful parts of IIM Bodhgaya Internship Experience journey was working on resource channelisation—connecting those who have with those who need. From collecting unused learning materials to repurposing newspapers for skill-building activities, the interns helped strengthen ongoing programs that support children’s education and women’s dignity. It was a reminder that impact doesn’t always require more resources—sometimes it needs better direction of what already exists.

For me, IIM Bodhgaya Internship Experience was also a journey of learning and unlearning. Their fresh perspectives challenged assumptions, while their energy brought new possibilities to our work. It reinforced a simple truth: when young minds meet real-world challenges, change becomes inevitable.

This is just the beginning. Over the next 4 weeks, we will be sharing their field experiences, reflections, and learnings—stories that carry both struggle and hope.

To witness their journey and the impact firsthand, follow our social media and upcoming blog series.

Because real change begins when we don’t just study problems—we step into them.
