2. Purpose
The purpose of this policy is to create awareness, prevent sexual harassment, and establish clear procedures for redressal of complaints, ensuring every member feels secure and respected.
3. Scope & Applicability
This policy applies to all employees, volunteers, interns, contractors, and visitors at all organizational locations and during any work-related activity, whether during or outside official hours.
4. Definitions
Sexual Harassment: Unwelcome acts or behavior, including physical contact, remarks, gestures, or any conduct of a sexual nature that creates an intimidating or hostile environment.
Aggrieved Woman/Person: The individual who believes they have been subjected to harassment.
Respondent: The individual against whom a complaint is made.
Internal Complaints Committee (ICC): A specially formed group responsible for addressing complaints and ensuring justice.

Internal Complaints Committee (ICC)
Comprises a Presiding Officer (preferably a woman at a senior level), members from within the organization, and an external member (expert from NGO or legal body).
Responsible for receiving complaints, conducting inquiries swiftly and confidentially, and recommending actions.
Conducts awareness programs and gender sensitivity training across the organization.

7. Complaint Process
Filing a Complaint:
Any individual who experiences or witnesses harassment can file a complaint with the ICC within three months of the incident. If unable to file, a designated person can do so on their behalf with written consent.Inquiry & Investigation:
The ICC will conduct a fair and impartial inquiry, providing the accused an opportunity to respond. The inquiry will be completed within 90 days.Interim Relief:
During inquiry, the ICC may recommend transfer or leave, or other suitable measures to ensure safety and comfort of the complainant.Report & Action:
On conclusion, the ICC will submit findings and recommendations. Disciplinary action, including termination, suspension, or counseling, will be taken against proven offenders.
8. Confidentiality & No Retaliation
All complaints and investigations are confidential. Retaliation or victimization of the complainant or witnesses is strictly prohibited and will attract disciplinary action.
